Rutland Middle School finished as Vermont State Champion for both 7th and 8th grade in the 2009 New England Mathematics League Competition! Taylor Ampatiellos, Matthew Abatiell, and Dominic Tadio finished in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place respectively, for the state. On Friday, May 1, the Explorer Team began their World War II Integration Day with a ceremonial presentation by members of the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion and active duty military honoring those who are listed as Prisoners of War or Missing In Action by the U.S. Government. This Wednesday at 1:00, Mayor Chris Louras visited RMS and RIS to help lead the official kickoff of the RMS-RIS Community Garden. Mayor Louras volunteered his time to help rototill our plot of land.
