First Day of School Holiday – Wednesday August 31

The RMS First Day of School Holiday is a community-wide celebration of the opening of school. It is also a time to meet teachers, administrators and parents of your child’s classmates.

Date:        Wednesday, August 31, 2011 (Opening Day!)

• 7:45 a.m. – visit your child’s Teacher Advisory. *
• 8-8:30 – Parent meeting in Keefe Gym
• 8:30 on – follow your child’s Opening Day schedule as long as you’d like. *
• 1:45-2:15 a second Parent meeting will be held in the school cafeteria for those who could not attend the morning meeting.

*While visiting classes, please remain quiet so the teacher can have the full attention of students. Thank you.

(Please sign in at the Main Office if your First Day visit does not coincide with the two Parent meetings so we can give you your child’s schedule).

RMS Open House – Thursday, September 22

Join your child’s teachers and fellow parents as you learn more about your child’s teaching teams and some specific academic hopes and expectations for the school year.

Date:        Thursday, September 22, 2011

• 6 p.m. – Welcome meeting in the Cafeteria with Mr. Cunningham and Ms. Francoeur
• 6:15-8:00 – Families move to locations throughout the school to meet with teaching teams.
