Climb

An alternative to conventional suspensions to support students in learning skills in positive decision making. This program allows students to work closely with school counselors and the Climb teacher to restore and repair relationships that may have been harmed. Climb keeps students in school, connected to essential resources and support.

CLIMB Runs from 8:00am-1:45pm

  • Climb is optional.  Parents can opt in when their student is assigned OSS.
  • Parents/guardians must escort their child to the CLIMB room between 7:50 and 8:00am.  If you will be late, please communicate with the office accordingly.
  • RMS will not allow suspended students to ride the bus.  No exceptions!
  • We ask parents/ guardians to arrange for your child to be picked up at 1:45pm.The CLIMB room is a form of In-school suspension that will be used to avoid an out-of-school suspension. The student shall be considered present for attendance purposes.
  • The center is intended to keep each student current with his/her class work while attempting to reinforce acceptable behavior, attitudes and personal interaction. The center places positive emphasis on students' functioning and learning to resolve their problems within school rules.Day 1 requires a parent meeting with Chris Chapman at 8:00 am to go over the plan and accountability project.
